It hijacks God’s good gift of sexuality and turns it into a false escape. Modern porn rewires the brain, but the Holy Spirit can renew it. Ephesians 6:12 ” For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
God’s Design for Sexuality
Sex is a beautiful gift for marriage (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). Jesus said, “Anyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28).
7 Biblical Steps to Freedom
1) Confess and repent. 1 John 1:9
2) Renew your mind — Romans 12:2
3) Cut off access (blockers, accountability software) — Matthew 5:29-30
4) Find accountability partners — James 5:16
5) Replace the habit with good things — Philippians 4:8
6) Heal root issues (shame, loneliness, trauma)
7) Walk daily in the Spirit — Galatians 5:16
Prayer for Deliverance
Lord Jesus, I confess my sin with porn & every act of sexual immorality with my body. I repent and ask You to break every chain. Cleanse me with Your blood, renew my mind, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I choose freedom in You today. In Jesus name.. Amen!
